What is available?
birdtheworld.com sells pages on the site for people who have resources or products they wish to market to the birding community. Currently birdtheworld.com caters for the following:
- Accommodation
- Guides
- Tour Operators
- Media and Magazines
- Clubs and Organisations
For each of the above a customer can have their business/organisation listed on the site in the category or sub category that is most applicable in their region./province or state. The types of products and services offered on the site will grow according to requirement or as the site sees fit.
How does it work?
The site is designed so that you can manage your page all by yourself. The steps you have to follow are:
- Firstly you have to register with birdtheworld.com. This is a simple sign up form you have to complete. You can got to the sign up form here or click on the "Register Now!" button in the left margin.
- Once you've signed up you'll see that you have a new menu banner across the top of the page which has a "User Admin" link. Clicking this takes you to your administration page for your personal account and from which you can set up a page for your business.
- By clicking on "Add Site" you can register your business or organisation by following the few steps and adding basic information.
- Once the site is registered you can edit the various components of your site. These include the introduction paragraph, the details of the business or organisation and finally you can create the full page showing your content. The full page content allows you to format and structure text and add pictures. You can also add an email address and a link to your website if you have one.

- Once you've created your site you submit it for approval. birdtheworld.com staff will check the content and ensure that there is space available in the selected category for the selected region.
- Once the site is approved you submit payment details and on approval of payment your site goes live.
- You are then able to update your site at any stage with new details, content or pictures.
- You will be required to renew your page on an annual basis or it will be turned off.
What does it cost?
The costs structure is very simple. The charge to have your site on the web is $ 120.00 per year paid in advance. This is only $ 10.00 per month!
